Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura is one of the main tourist resorts on the island; and is busy all year round because of the excellent climate in the Canary Islands. The resort attracts visitors from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Poland, and other European countries. Many people from the other Canary Islands visit it during the summer months. It is a popular resort with families and couples, as it is relaxing and fairly quiet. The resort was built up over 20 years from the mid 1980’s, so is a modern resort with no old buildings or old centre. It is a great place to use as a central base, to explore the rest of the island from there, and return back for dinner.
Caleta de Fuste beach on a nice sunny dayEverything is within 15 minutes walk of the promenade and beach. The beach is a wide expanse of yellow sand, and is perfect for sunbathing and family activities, and the sea is relatively safe as waves are small.

This means it is only a 10 minute taxi ride away. It does mean that the resort is on the flight path, usually for planes coming into land. However, there are no flights between 11pm and 7.30am.
Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura has a number of hotels which are rated from 1 star to 5 star, and apartment complexes rated from 2 keys to 4 keys.
There are three main areas in the resort – central Caleta de Fuste,where most of the hotels are, which is close to the main beach; southern Caleta de Fuste, around the two golf courses and the Atlantico Shopping Center( 1.5km south of central Caleta de Fuste); and the area to the west of the main road.
Southern Caleta de Fuste has 3 large hotels fronting the beach and promenade - the Sheraton, the Carlota and the Sara. They are near the Atlantico Shopping Center which has a large supermarket, shops, restaurants, 10 pin bowling, and a cinema.

Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura offers holiday accommodation in a modern resort, and many people do return year after year as they like what it has to offer. For many, they like to relax around the pool or on the beach, and have a wander around the resort in the evening and go to a bar or restaurant, in the knowledge that there are no groups of rowdy young people, as the resort is favoured by families and couples.
